About
Somewhere between the sunset and the song
Esmeralda Younes — simply Esmeralda, or Esmé to her listeners — is a Ukrainian-Lebanese singer, songwriter and pianist based in Beirut. Trained in piano, vocals and music theory, with a background in classical and contemporary dance, she grew up between two cultures and sings in the space where they meet.
People first fell for her voice through the covers she posted online — from Hallelujah to a viral Arcade × Enta Eih mash-up that blends Duncan Laurence with Nancy Ajram. Then came her own words: Beirut I’m Sorry, written for her city and for a childhood friend lost in the August 2020 port explosion, and the singles that followed — I Owe You, Don’t Cry Me A River, Conversation and Laying on the Couch.
Her sound sits where melodic house meets heartbreak — intimate, emotional, quietly danceable. She performs regularly with her band at venues across Lebanon, from cozy bars to festival stages, and her music has passed 100,000 plays on Anghami and aired on Virgin Radio Lebanon.
“My aim is to make people relate to my music.”
